Great catering opportunity available in our café and ice cream parlour at our children’s play centre at Wyton near St Ives, Cambridgeshire. We have over 50 families through the centre each day during the weekend or school holidays.
If you are a cook and fed up with split shifts, late nights and early mornings, we have the job for you. A busy kitchen serving a mixed menu, cooked to order. Fast-paced during peak lunchtime sessions with calmer prep time.
The centre is currently open Thursday – Sunday during term time and every day during school holidays. Shifts are up to 8 hours long, with the opportunity to job share and progress your skills if requested. Working with our catering manager to offer an amazing food service to our customers and be part of team delivering family fun.
With hygiene paramount and a keenness to support customers with all dietary requirements, you will be expected to react to changing pace, and deliver good quality food in a timely manner, supported by the catering team.
Employment terms include 20 days holiday plus statutory days pro rata to hours worked, employer-contributed pension and the ability to increase standard weekly hours during school holidays. We are happy to look at applicants who would like to do a minimum of one 8 hour shift in a week. We do not open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday. Hourly rate of pay dependant on skills and experience.
Arena Staff are the key to our guest's experience. You should be happy and willing to help and spot and take appropriate action as and when required.
You will be required to maintain our high cleanliness standards whilst watching and ensuring the safety of guests at all times. Teamwork is the key with Arena Staff, ensuring the whole arena is covered.
We are looking for people who can Stay calm and focused when the pressure builds in busy times, so excellent customer service skills are essential. This position will involve a lot of cleaning, taking pride in the presentation of both front of house and kitchen. Other main responsibilities include restocking, cleaning tables, some basic food prep, table service, washing up, liaising with kitchen and other centre staff to help with the smooth delivery of food orders and party foods.
Maintain high customer service levels throughout the centre.
